SMC³ Launches New Loss Prevention Conference

Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel
October 20-22, 2008

This new educational event will be held in Atlanta at the Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel from October 20-22, 2008. The new SMC³ Loss Prevention Conference was developed in response to the recent dissolution of the Loss Prevention Conference (LPC), a transportation industry association dedicated to educating its members on the prevention of freight loss and damage. SMC³ has designed their new program to provide attendees with high quality content presented in the world-class educational format that SMC³ is well known for.

Targeted educational sessions will help attendees develop strategies, techniques and best practices for preventing and resolving the claims issues which affect them most. Topics currently slated for this event include “Everything  You Wanted to Know about Third Party Logistics Companies, But Were Afraid to Ask,” “Understanding What Constitutes Recoverable Damages for Cargo Claims” as well as sessions on refused freight, released rates and a Claims Liability Workshop.

The Loss Prevention Conference will also include interactive small group discussions and Q&A sessions on specific techniques for identifying workable prevention solutions and implementing effective preventative programs. In addition, all attendees will be eligible to receive credits from the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council (CCPAC) for their participation.
