The Spring 2003
Loss Prevention Conference, at the Radisson Resort Parkway in Orlando,
Florida, was an exciting way to end our 2002-2003 membership year.
Those who made it to the conference were treated to a selection of
informative and well-crafted presentations designed to help members
“tackle freight loss and damage head-on.” The sheer volume
of useful information presented during the meeting is sure to be a
great asset over the next year as our members continually look for
ways to lower costs and improve their bottom line.
We hope that this
review of our 2003 Spring Meeting will help you revisit the topics
covered during the educational sessions and assist you in your job
as you look for ways to reduce loss and damage claims. For those who
were not able to attend, we hope that the review will give you a sense
of the valuable educational opportunity that is in store for the upcoming
conference in October.
The Loss Prevention
Conference would like to give a hearty thanks to the speakers who
donated their time and expertise on issues that are relevant to all
of us. These speakers set a new standard for education at our meetings.
We also would like to give a sincere thanks to all of our sponsors.
Your assistance helped make this meeting possible.
Not to be outdone,
the LPC staff is busily preparing for our next not-to-be-missed learning
and networking opportunity, coming this fall. Be sure to mark your
calendar now for our 2003 Fall Meeting, to be held October 19-21 at
the Renaissance Concourse Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
As we go forth
in the coming year, I would like to extend a warm greeting to all
our members and a big welcome to those who joined during the last
year. Your membership helps us as we accomplish the LPC’s mission:
“to promote the development of loss and damage prevention professionals
through education, information resourcing, corporate networking and
social interaction.
Sincerely,
A. R.
